Saving ‘Ocean Giants’

The photographer Bryant Austin is the first photographer to make life-sized high-resolution images of whales. He takes hundreds of high-resolution pictures of a whale and then put piece to piece together to create a life-sized image. His largest photo to date is 6 feet by 28 feet. It took him 2800 hours to complete it.

It is not an easy job to make one photo, he needs to find a pod of whales, then he stays on the surface of the water waiting that one of the whales of the group approaches him first, only then Bryant starts taking photos, all on whale’s terms.
