ZTE has unveiled a new PHABLET last week. Now ZTE has launched a new device in China: its new model, named, The Axon Watch for release in China, A smartwatch that’s miles above last year’s clunky Blue Watch in both design and features. And runs with an operating system of China’s Tencent announced TOS+ in May, to compete watches under Android Wear, This watch is very reminiscent of the LG Watch Urbane. It is thus provided with a metal round dial and comes in three different colors: silver, black and gold. And use of sapphire glass.
This time facing a far more classic watch with a round dial incorporating a 1.4 inch AMOLED screen supporting a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and a sapphire glass coating to prevent scratches. A combination ever seen which will bring together the best of both worlds. And it runs a range of apps, including ones for taking phone calls and sending messages.
Similar to the LG Watch Urbane
In terms of design, the housing appears to be made from metal while the bracelet is made entirely of plastic. The finish seems rather careful and the watch can be controlled from the touch screen, there is also a knob positioned on the right side of the device.
Better, the Axon Watch will also IP67 certified and will be well able to withstand dust, splashes and dips in fresh water. Wearers will be able to review fitness and health data. The Axon has a heart rate sensor and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor is inside, Assisted by 512 MB of RAM with 4 GB of storage space. It is possible to control Tencent OS by voice or with the touch screen of the watch. The Axon Watch uses Bluetooth 4.1 to connect with smartphones and has a battery with a capacity of 300 mAh, almost like on Android watches Wear. We can then expect a range between 1 to 2 days.
The new ZTE Axon watch will target the Chinese market and it will not be possible to enjoy in Europe. Not now anyway. But still there is no information on price. And it is expected to be an exclusive to China.
